While skiing today I was struck by the sheer beauty of the snow covered slopes as they succumb day-by-day to the onslaught of spring. The warm temperatures and spring winds have carved beautiful patterns in the snow, capturing the morning light like ripples in sandstone. Knowing that this amazing display is only temporary made it all the more magical.
