January 3, 2013

Each person deserves a day away in which no problems are confronted, no solutions searched for. Each of us needs to withdraw from the cares which will not withdraw from us. We need hours of aimless wandering or spates of time sitting on park benches, observing the mysterious world of ants and the canopy of treetops.  – Maya Angelou

Focus:  Landscape

To be honest, landscapes really aren’t my thing, which means they are something I probably should work on!  My goal today was to capture the amazing golden light that you really only get with a setting winter sun.  The warmth of the grass is in such stark contrast to the cool blue sky this time of year and it is one of the few contrasting color palettes of January.
