Symmetry is what we see at a glance. – Blaise Pascal
Focus: Texture/Pattern
I wandered around Washington Park today, completely uninspired by anything; January blahs for sure. As often happens when I’m bored, I found myself focusing on the details, rather than my environment itself. Beauty really can be found in the most mundane objects. The subject of this photo is simply a manhole cover. An item we see all the time, but rarely take the time to notice. Looking at the pattern in post-processing, I kept wondering why there was a slight interruption in the symmetry right around the 7:00 mark in the center…. did you notice that?
