‘Tis midnight now. The bend and broken moon, batter’d and black, as from a thousand battles, hangs silent on the purple walls of Heaven. – Joaquin Miller
Focus: Technique (Composition, Negative Space)
A sleepy moon on a clear January night. What many people don’t realize is that the moon is actually so bright that you need to speed up your shutter speed so that you can capture the texture of the moon (and not end up with an overexposed white blob.) This particular photo was taken on a dark night with a shutter speed of 1/2500 second. That’s fast!
