Oil and water don’t mix. – Science 101
It is interesting to me that when you take something out of context it can resemble something completely different. For instance, this is simply a photo of oil droplets floating on some water in my kitchen sink. However, by focusing on just a tiny subset of the entire sink, the patterns formed by the oil resemble something you might see under a microscope. This is just another example of how photography has helped me look at the world a little differently.
