FOCUS:  Still Life

It is in an interesting task to choose the wine to serve at a party where you expect over 50 adults to be attending.  I mean, where do you begin?  How do you select wines to please the palettes of both the novice and the expert wine drinkers in the crowd without breaking the bank?  Our solution was to put our faith in the wine guru at our local liquor store, who recommended a few bottles to try.  On his advice, we sat down and did a little wine tasting at home, sampling wines from South America and Spain – regions known for quality wines at reasonable prices.  Not a bad way to spend the evening…
