I never saw an ugly thing in my life: for let the form of an object be what it may – light, shade, and perspective will always make it beautiful. – John Constable
FOCUS: Abstract/Macro
There is a flower pot that is leaking on my back patio. The resulting stain is an ever growing scar on the concrete surface. I keep thinking to myself that I should move the pot into the nearby planter, where the leaking water will no longer be a nuisance. But then today, I just happened to notice that the light from the overcast sky caught the stain at just the right angle, transforming the oils and minerals in the stain into a beautiful prism of color. It is amazing how a different perspective can change your opinion about something. Maybe I won’t move that flower pot after all.
