217 days into this Project 365 and I still find that photographing people is my favorite. Whether I am meeting someone for the first time, or whether I have known them for years, seeing others through the eye of my camera is a magical and very intimate experience. I look forward to each and every portrait session, in part because I don’t know what to expect. Each person is unique and their individual style adds an element of the unknown to my time with them. I’ve never used a formulaic approach in photographing people. I let the sessions blossom on their own, and each is like a mini adventure. The energy, anticipation and spontaneity of venturing into the unknown with someone else is truly addictive.
