Focus:  Still Life (Black &White)

Well the snow that started last night continued all through today, leaving the city covered in a heavy, wet blanket that was over a foot thick.  Tonight I was attending a party downtown when I glanced out the window and noticed these two bicycles tied up in the wintry weather.  What I found most interesting about the scene was the contrast between the two bikes.  One bike had clearly been abandoned by its owner due to the day’s weather, and had thus accumulated a sculptural piling of snow on its frame and seat.  On the contrary, the owner of the other bike had evidently chosen this particular mode of transportation for the day despite the snowy weather.  Different strokes for different folks, I suppose…
