The garden is a love song, a duet between a human being and Mother Nature. – Jeff Cox

The hyacinth are blooming in my garden, forming beautiful little clumps of white, yellow, purple and pink. Their nodding heads and sweet scent make them one of my favorite spring flowers. I always welcome their appearance each year, although sometimes their performance gets cut short by a mid-spring snowstorm. That is my fear this year since, despite the amazing spring weather we’ve been having lately, the predictions are for 6-12 inches of heavy, wet snow tonight and tomorrow. So, like a protective mother, I will cover these sweet beauties with buckets and blankets this evening to shelter them from winter’s fury, thus preserving their display for a few more weeks. Sometimes Mother Nature needs a helping hand.
So pretty!!!
