Impressionism:  It is the birth of light in painting.  – Robert Delaunay

FOCUS:  Abstract

I just couldn’t take it anymore.  The windows on my house had become so dirty from the winter, they were driving me crazy.  I know it is futile to clean windows this time of year, but I just had to do something about it.  So I grabbed the Windex and a rag and set off to do a little spring cleaning.  Well… I didn’t get very far.  No sooner had I sprayed down the first window when I noticed the impressionistic forms taking shape as the Windex streaked down the glass, turning my once ‘ugly’ windows into mini versions of Monet’s garden.  Okay – that might be a stretch – but I did think the effect was pretty enough to photograph :).

(By the way, I got so distracted with my camera that my windows, needless to say, are still as dirty as ever!)

  1. If you only knew how many times I’ve become distracted while cleaning my house. Cameras make wonderful tools for times like this. ; )
