Every year about this time I think to myself, “Wow, we sure have planted a lot of vines in our garden…” That’s because every year about this time, those vines start to enthusiastically take over everything in their path. They hang from the fence, creep up the sides of the garage, tangle around tree trunks and wind their way through the garden beds. I am reminded a bit of the famous ‘Audrey’ plant from the play Little Shop of Horrors, and I half expect the vines to become carnivorous. Maybe I should keep an eye on my little dogs…
