…ears of corn letting their auburn hair wind down to their stalks. – Toni Morrison
FOCUS: Food
You know summer is nearing its end when the Olathe sweet corn from the western slope of Colorado makes its way into the markets. All it needs is a quick char on the grill and a slather of butter and salt. Mmmmmm. Tastes like summer.
Corn on the cob is one of my favorite foods! You really made my mouth water for some fresh corn. Beautiful pics! I would frame m and put them in my kitchen. This way when it gets cold outside and the snow is blowing I can dream of summer.
Thanks for your comments and for following along! I’m so glad my photos inspired you and made your mouth water. There is nothing quite like late summer for its bounty of deliciosuness!
I love how you captured the dew like mist on the corn kernels. Makes the photo for me.
Thanks for noticing that tiny detail, Shannon! I wondered if anyone would look closely enough to see it. Those tiny droplets are the natural juices of the corn coming through. So fresh and juicy!
