If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn’t. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn’t be. And what it wouldn’t be, it would. You see?”

FOCUS: 30 Days of Thanks
As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, I have spent my weekend photographing eyewear for my husband’s business. I have literally been up to my eyeballs in glasses for the past two days (pun intended). Photographing hundreds of pairs of glasses has certainly stretched my creativity, challenged my technical skills and tested my patience – suffice it to say there are few things more difficult to photograph than a pair of reflective glasses… and I had to do it hundreds of times over this weekend. Despite the occasional moments of frustration – and a few choice words along the way – the images have turned out wonderful and everyone is very pleased with the results. Including my worst critic – Me.
The photo above was my last shot of the weekend. At this point I was feeling pretty exhausted and a little slap-happy and I decided to do something completely outside the box. I threw seriousness out the window and went full on into the realm of the silly. And you know what? I love the results. This composition may not sell a pair of glasses, but it ought to make people laugh. And sometimes that’s enough. So tonight, I’m thankful for silliness – the perfect ending to a weekend of hard work.
Well I’d say that was very creative… love it..
Thanks so much, Bulldog! Amazing how a pair of glasses can animate any object 🙂
