Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.

FOCUS: 30 Days of Thanks
Today I am thankful for my yoga practice. I was initially attracted to yoga for the physical benefits – strength, flexibility, detoxification – but it has been the emotional and spiritual benefits of the practice that have made me a devoted practitioner for over twelve years. Yoga teaches me so much about living in the present moment, honoring my body, and letting go of things that do not serve me, all while challenging me both physically and mentally. These skills have spread into all aspects of my life, and for that I am truly grateful. The benefits of yoga have been around for thousands of years and they are available to everyone – the young, the old, the athletic, the out-of-shape, the flexible and the not-so-flexible, and everyone in between. With yoga, there is no judgment. It is a safe place where you are encouraged to accept where you are physically and emotionally at the present moment, and to be okay with it. If you have never tried yoga, I encourage you to do so. It just might change your life.
“Namaste: My soul honors your soul. I honor the place in you where the entire universe dwells. I honor the the place in you which is of love, of life, of truth, and of peace. When you are in that place in you, and I am in that place in me, we are one.”
Thanks! Beautiful sentiment! I fully concur.
Thank you Shannon!
