At the car wash
Talkin’ about the car wash yeah!
Come on and sing it for me car wash.
Car wash yeah! – Rose Royce, “Car Wash”
Focus: Life Unscripted
It’s been a long time since I’ve actually sat in my car during a car wash. Usually, I take my car to one of those automated ‘touchless’ places, where I exit the car and let it move along an automated track while I watch mindlessly from the sidelines. Today, however, I was in a rush and decided to just use the local gas station’s car wash. What an experience! I pulled into the car wash building and the doors closed behind me, leaving me alone in the eery darkness with the loud jets, colorful soaps and frenzy of the swirling brushes. Because I happened to have my camera with me, I seized the opportunity to use this sensory experience as the subject of my Project 365 for today. I think the results are surprisingly beautiful. How about you?
Great images!
Thank you!
This proves art is everywhere! :o)
It is said that photography is the “art of seeing”. Part of that art is finding beauty in unexpected places!
Very unique captures – I love the one where the water reflects the green and purple colors
Thanks for the feedback!
Oh my gosh ! I LOVE THIS ! What great colors, composition, lighting. Brilliant idea.
Thanks for the kudos! The whole excursion wasn’t planned – just a spur of the moment idea. I guess sometimes those are best :).
I agree ! The unplanned things are the best.
