Life is like a roller coaster ride. You can scream every time you hit a bump, or throw your hands up in the air and enjoy the ride.
FOCUS: Around Town
Lakeside Amusement Park opened its doors in 1908 and is one of the oldest amusement parks in the United States. I remember going to this amusement park as a child, and I swear nothing has changed in the past 40 years. From the 1940’s wooden Cyclone roller coaster to the kitschy 1950’s signage, visiting Lakeside is like stepping into a time machine. For a mere $2.50 entrance fee ($20 for an unlimited ride pass), it has to be one of the biggest entertainment bargains around.
stunning photos…
Thanks, Melanee! I truly hadn’t been to Lakeside since I was in kindergarten. Not much has changed!
Look at that beautiful blue sky! And look at that face on the roller coaster 🙂 The older roller coasters constructed of wood are especially fun to ride. Ditto on stunning photos!
The guy on the roller coaster is my nephew. He’s such a ham in front of the camera!!
