Life is like a roller coaster ride.  You can scream every time you hit a bump, or throw your hands up in the air and enjoy the ride.

FOCUS:  Around Town

Lakeside Amusement Park opened its doors in 1908 and is one of the oldest amusement parks in the United States.  I remember going to this amusement park as a child, and I swear nothing has changed in the past 40 years.  From the 1940’s wooden Cyclone roller coaster to the kitschy 1950’s signage, visiting Lakeside is like stepping into a time machine.  For a mere $2.50 entrance fee ($20 for an unlimited ride pass), it has to be one of the biggest entertainment bargains around.

  1. Look at that beautiful blue sky! And look at that face on the roller coaster 🙂 The older roller coasters constructed of wood are especially fun to ride. Ditto on stunning photos!
